The most successful racing MTB hub in the world; DT’s legendary 240 has won more international XCO, DH and Enduro titles than any other, but even with that outstanding pedigree there’s always room for more
Rapid engagement has become a desirable feature for more technically-orientated riding but fast engaging hubs suffered either from high weight, high drag, poor reliability, or all three
Going back to the drawing board, DT have completely reworked the 240 to allow the largest drive ratchets they have ever used, offering a full 90 teeth and 4 degrees of engagement whilst retaining the renowned reliability of the all-conquering EXP system
The DEG system’s ratchets are twice the size of standard DT ratchets, so large in fact that the threaded ring nut no longer needs to removed for bearing replacement
The rest of the hub uses DT’s well known No-Tool system making servicing simple, further aided by easy to remove, machined end caps
Custom made DT steel bearings offer the same near legendary long term durability and ease of replacement that the 240 has always been known for
Ratchet DEG is designed for Trail and Enduro use, for Road, Gravel and XC use, we recommend the lighter EXP system, long travel DH bikes may also benefit from using EXP to avoid any restriction of suspension movement
